Requests for Proposals for 2020 Workplan Research

The Upper Basin Pallid Sturgeon Workgroup would like to announce our request for proposals in potential research to be included in the 2020 workplan. The Governing Board (GB) narrowed the scope to areas of interest and those are included as an attachment.

With this refined list, the Upper Basin Pallid Sturgeon Workgroup would like to call for 1-page proposals within the prioritized scope, where a total of $156,00 remains for projects focused on Pallid Sturgeon in the Upper Missouri River Basin.

As mentioned at the Workgroup meeting in March, we are attempting to return to a more typical timeframe for funding to be run on the federal fiscal year cycle. See below for the updated anticipated schedule:

• call for 1-page proposals within the prioritized scope, to be submitted by October 14, 2019;
• review of 1-page proposals with select invitations for full proposals sent by October 21, 2019;
• invited full proposals due for review by the GB by November 18, 2019;
• selection of projects and workplan finalization by December 2, 2019.

Please email me your 1-page proposals and I will compile them for the GB to rank. Proposals should include; 1) project title, 2) principal investigators, 3) project summary, 4) objective, 5) approach, 6) schedule, and 7) deliverables. At the close of the call and following the GB’s ranking, I will contact applicants and either invite their full proposals or respectfully inform them that their proposal was not selected for further review.
