Hatchery Reared Juvenile Pallid Sturgeon Tagging

Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery in North Dakota, has just over 1,000 pallid sturgeon from the 2013 year class that will be stocked this spring. These 12” fish will be tagged on April 15 with a PIT tag, a scute will also be removed to identify year class. The juvenile sturgeon will then be hauled to stocking locations in the Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers of Montana.
